A small eco lodge found on the Caribbean coast of Panama, the Urraca Private Island Eco Lodge allows visitors the chance to stay in an overwater bungalow surrounded by monkeys and beautiful coral reefs. Along with the resort's 6 overwater bungalows that are perched off of mangrove and over the ocean, you'll find a restaurant, bar, and a few activities, including snorkeling.
As this is an eco lodge, you'll want to make sure that you know what kind of vacation awaits before you fly out. As solar panels are the source of energy here, you won't find a TV in your room, though Wi-Fi is available. One thing to note before booking, is that this particular accommodation does not allow children under the age of 13 anywhere within the resort grounds.
The Urraca Private Island Eco Lodge is located in the Bocas del Toro region of Panama.

To reach the Urraca Private Island Eco Lodge, you’ll first need to fly into Panama City’s international airport. Then you can either take a domestic flight to Bocas del Toro or you can take a bus or rental car there. Once you reach the airport in Bocas del Toro, you’ll then catch a taxi to the Pirate Restaurant. The resort’s captain, Demasco, will meet you at the restaurant and then take you to the resort via a 35 minute boat ride.
Even though this is a very basic lodge with a low nightly rate, the reviews are fantastic. Guests cite great rooms, friendly staff, and a lot of delicious food. In fact, most guests state that they will gladly recommend the lodge to their friends and family. As long as you understand that this lodge is different from your standard overwater resort, you should love it.
