Formerly known as Club Noah, the Apulit Island Resort reopened in late 2010, now managed by the El Nido resort chain, which has two other similar properties in the area. This is an eco-friendly resort that is moderately priced, and comes without many of the 5-star luxury features you get in the Maldives, but that adds to the appeal for many couples seeking privacy and seclusion.
The setting on the bay is stunning, and while there is no entertainment system in the rooms, everything is well built and of high standard. This is an ideal resort for honeymoon couples and those on a romantic retreat, and probably not well suited to family vacations.
The El Nido Apulit Island Resort is located on a small private island just north of the island of Palawan in the Philippines.
30 Water Cottages
20 Deluxe Water Cottages
Massage services and other treatments are available.
To reach the Apulit Island Resort you’ll need to fly to Manila and then take a short flight to the town of Taytay. From there you’ll get ground transportation to the jetty, and then a 75-minute ferry ride to the resort itself.
Guests seem to really enjoy this resort with positive reviews all around. However, there are a few that go against the gain and point out a few negatives. The lows don’t seem to be that big though, such as a less than impressive buffet. The strong points of this resort, such as the view, rooms and activities seem to easily out way the bad. All in all, this resort seems like a good choice for many.
