Featuring 16 overwater rooms that are either in duplexes or four-plexes, the Coco View Resort is a small operation on Roatán Island north of Honduras that is most often described as a “scuba diving camp.” The resort also houses 10 other beach rooms, but the emphasis here is on diving in and around the second largest barrier reef in the world.
This is an all-inclusive resort when it comes to food and most activities, with excellent rates that offer a very good value. For a higher price, guests also get all-inclusive scuba diving, including two boat journeys per day, plus unlimited 24/7 shore diving. Those wanting to dive among some of the Caribbean's finest reefs would have a hard time beating the CoCo View Resort.
The CoCo View Resort is located on Roatán Island in Honduras Bay, just north of Honduras in the Caribbean Ocean.
Booking available through CoCo View official website
A combination spa/fitness center has all modern machines, plus massages, facials, manicures, and pedicures available.
Dinner on CoCo View’s private Hawksbill Key, complete with crab races and live entertainment
To reach the Coco View Resort you can fly directly into the Roatan Airport, although service isn’t daily so many days you’ll have to fly into Tegucigalpa and take another short flight from there, or come by ferry from the mainland.
Reviews for the CoCo View Resort are generally excellent, with very few exceptions. Many reviewers first make it clear that this resort is all about scuba diving, so those not interested in that activity (including children) should probably go elsewhere.
With that caveat in place nearly all reviews boast about the excellent service, the surprisingly good buffet food, and the wonderful diving conditions on the twice-daily dives.
