With most of its business consisting of all-inclusive plans based around a honeymoon or activity, Anthony's Key Resort on Roatan is one of the very few hotels offering overwater bungalows in the Caribbean. Most of the rooms are located on Anthony's Key, which is a small island just off the coast of Roatan Island, and accessible by a free water shuttle that runs at all hours.
The resort offers excellent value, with prices far lower than most other overwater bungalow resorts, but it's also a very different place. There are many water activities available plus excellent diving, but no TVs or entertainment system in the rooms, so it's a place for active guests.

To reach Anthony’s Key Resort you’ll need to fly to Roatan Island, which has its own airport with nonstop flights available from many large North American cities. From the airport you’ll be met by hotel staff for complimentary transfers to the resort.
The reviews for Anthony’s Key Resort are overwhelmingly positive, which is unusual in its moderate price category. Guests seem extremely happy with the service and facilities, and the only minor complaint is about insects, which can evidently be dealt with by using spray. The overwater rooms on the island get high marks, and the hill rooms also seem to be popular with recent guests.
They key to enjoying Anthony’s, it seems, is to understand that this is a unique and beautiful resort built around diving and its dolphin swim, rather than around an expensive spa. It’s great for families as well as honeymooners, but it’s not like the secluded overwater resorts in the South Pacific.
